CD of the Month - August 2010The KCCK Featured CD for August is "I Will Tell Her" from Curtis Fuller. The bop legend is surrounded by good friends from the Denver, Colorado, jazz scene on a program of Fuller originals and classic jazz tunes. At age 75, the trombonist is still in prime form on the two-disc set, one recorded in the studio, the other a live set recorded at Dazzle, Denver's top jazz club. The set is dedicated to Fuller's wife Cathy, who recently passed away, and the title track is a never-before-recorded composition done in her memory.
