Erickson has 20 albums to his credit, and has written original music for movies and television.

Illinois Jacquet: King of the Screeching Tenor
Illinois Jacquet performed on every continent and played before kings, queens, and presidents. In his long career, saxophonist Jacquet personified the entire jazz tradition. In the early years, he played saxophone in the swing-era big bands of Count Basie, Lionel Hampton and Cab Calloway. And as a teenager, he became famous for his saxophone solo on “Flying Home” with Lionel Hampton’s big band.

2017 Corridor Jazz Concert
April is Jazz Appreciation Month, where we shine the spotlight on all the great jazz produced by our high school and college ensembles. Kicking off this month is the 2017 Corridor Jazz Concert. The Corridor Jazz Project partners high school jazz bands from up and down the Creative Corridor with a guest professional or clinician. They work a chart, record it for a CD, then culminate the experience with a concert. Tune in to hear to hear the future of jazz!
