Culture Crawl 967 “Athens of the Midwest”

It’s a big September for the National Check & Slovak Museum and Library (NCSML). Next week, two presidents come to town for the dedication of the Czech Village Clock Tower, which will house one of just eight Orloj in the world, modeled after the original astronomical clock in Prague.

But this Friday, it’s the Museum’s annual “Brewnost,” celebrating the beer and food not just of the Czech and Slovak regions, but all over the world. The Dolnemcanka Brass Band is traveling all the way from Moravia to perform, live and silent auction prizes, and raffle of a trip for two to Prague!
