Cedar Rapids Municipal Band Director Steve Shanley turns the baton over to the director of the Coe College Orchestra, Michelle Blair, so he can play piano on an arrangement of The Beatles “Blackbird,” that he performed at Coe this spring, and that was talked about for weeks by those who saw it.
It’s extra-special for Steve, as he is fresh from seeing Sir Paul himself perform the piece at a recent concert.

Concerts are at 7:30. Come early on Wednesday to the Johnson STEAM Academy to hear a performance from Johnson students. The Sunday show will be at Noelridge Park.
