Riverside Theatre presents “The Grand Inquisitor,” a (largely) one-man show starring Iowa native John William Watkins, in a soliloquy taken from the classic novel, “The Brothers Karamazov,” ion collaboration with the Iowa City Book Festival and University of Iowa Libraries’ “Dostoevsky at 200” exhibit.
It’s a monologue of urgency and intensity on the nature of, and the existence of, God, from the perspective of a Church Inquisitor faced with the return of Jesus Christ during the Spanish Inquisition.
Oct. 21-31 at the University of Iowa Main Library. Tickets are free, but some shows are already full, so reserve yours today at www.riversidetheatre.org.
