Culture Crawl 851 “Safety Aspect”

Did you know the work of Jackson Pollock as a young kid? Phil Ochs, son of late Iowa City artist, Jim Ochs, sure did. Phil describes growing up surrounded by his father’s art and the “total factory” of his studio in promotion of The Gilded Pear’s posthumous solo exhibit, Jim Ochs: 45 Years of Work. General manager of Gilded Pear Gallery, Lauren Tucci, describes Ochs’ art as a “fusion of printmaking with painting and other collage elements.”

The exhibit is open through October 28 with a reception open to the public on September 8, 5:00-7:30pm. A reception RSVP would be appreciated. You can do so from one of these three links:
