What began as the house band for a local telethon grew into one of the most popular big bands in Eastern Iowa! Legendary trumpeter Al Naylor and The I-380 Express reunited to cap off the 2025 season of Jazz Under the Stars. It was a night filled with great memories and incredible music!

Craig spins selections from the very earliest Prestige recordings of 1949, and ventures into the early 1950s. We’ll hear groundbreaking examples of modern jazz from greats like J.J. Johnson, Terry Gibbs, Stan Getz, Wardell Gray, Don Lanphere, Gene Ammons, Teddy Charles, Sonny Stitt, Al Haig, Sonny Rollins, and many others.
