Craig spins selections from the very earliest Prestige recordings of 1949, and ventures into the early 1950s. We’ll hear groundbreaking examples of modern jazz from greats like J.J. Johnson, Terry Gibbs, Stan Getz, Wardell Gray, Don Lanphere, Gene Ammons, Teddy Charles, Sonny Stitt, Al Haig, Sonny Rollins, and many others.

Ten of Soul capped off a spectacular evening at 2024’s Taste of Jazz. The power ensemble brought their best groove to the stage, and to the dance floor. Opening the show was the Kirkwood Jazz Ensemble, highlighting Kirkwood’s talented music students and faculty.
