Be sure to tune in this week as we celebrate the birthdays of drummers Specs Powell, Cassius Goens and Willie Jones III, saxophonist Tina Brooks, guitarist Taln Farlow, pianists Pete Jolly and Monty Alexander and more. We’ll also mark the recording anniversaries of Miles Davis’ “‘Round About Midnight” (1956), Frank Sinatra with Count Basie & His Orchestra’s “It Might As Well Be Swing” (1964), “A Buck Clayton Jam Session” (1975), Eastern Rebellion’s “Simple Pleasure” (1992), The Charles Earland Tribute Band’s “Keepers of the Flame” (2000) and many others 10am to 2pm, Monday thru Friday, with Jazz Masters at noon.
