Spoken Word artist Akwi Nji joins Red Cedar Chamber Music for “Love and Life,” a concert that examines love throughout all the stages of our existence. The piece was commissioned by Red Cedar board member Tom Carroll as a gift to his wife Patrice for their 40th anniversary.
Akwi and Red Cedar Artistic Director Carey Bostian talk about the unique challenges and joys of adding words to the traditionally instrumental Red Cedar programs.
“Love and Life” will be performed in several locations around the community, culminating in shows at The Englert and CSPS Oct. 27-28.
