“Jazzy Jamboree” is the title of the first Red Cedar Chamber Music concert of the fall season, and directors Miera Kim and Carey Bostian say that it really delivers.
Guest artist Christine Bellomy takes a break from her duties as principal clarinet with Orchestra Iowa and the Cedar Rapids Municipal Band to perform a program that includes jazz standards from artists like George Gershwin, with arrangements by Steve Shanley.
Red Cedar Composer-in-Residence Michael Kimber might steal the show, however, with his brand-new arrangement which is Variations On, wait for it… The Iowa Corn Song!
