Emma Bock and Renae Hasselbusch have been friends since they were little, and are finishing up their senior year at Lisbon. And they independently decided to attend Iowa State and major in Biology, so they’ll continue to be classmates in college!
The Lisbon Jazz Band has had a great year under first-year director Joseph Arch, making the Iowa Jazz Championships. During their guest DJ hour, they talk about how the band is a group of tight-knit friends, due to the fact that as a small district, they’ve been playing together since middle school. And they reveal which Mingus tune became the band’s informal theme!
