Culture Crawl 950 “Fingers Going Everywhere”

The Invisible Band headlines Week 2 of KCCK’s Jazz Under The Stars, and we managed to squeeze the entire band into our studio! Formed by John Reasoner and Ken Duncan, this band has been entertaining audiences since the mid-80s, when they composed the “Hawk Rap” featuring members of the Iowa Football team. You’ll hear modern jazz classics from artists like Chick Corey, George Benson, Al DeMiola, Pat Metheny, Herbie Hancock, and many more. Opening will be The Next Gen Jazz Collective.

KCCK has presented free, family-friendly jazz in Noelridge Park nearly every year since 1988. There will be food trucks, a playground for the kids, and great music each week at 6:30pm. Here is the rest of the schedule:

August 8 – Invisible Jazz w/ Next Gen Jazz Collective

August 15 – Group X w/ the Murphy Fisher Quartet

August 22 – Trio Grismore w/ Ship of Fools
