On your first day of camp, you’ll be playing an audition for one of the instructors. The function of the audition is to help us find out what skills you already have, and which skills we can work on while you’re at camp. It will also help us assign music that is the proper level for you. So there’s nothing to be nervous about – just show us what you can do! Print off and practice the audition piece for your instrument. If you intend to play more than one instrument at camp, print and practice each piece.
*If this audition music seems too difficult, please prepare something of your choice to play for us. Students that have experience with jazz improvising will have the chance to demonstrate that during the audition.
