Take a break from the sugary-sweet Christmas shows with a new play by Sean Christopher Lewis, “Rotten Eggnog,” at Riverside Theatre Nov. 30 – Dec. 16. It’s a “holiday comedy for the disenchanted,” as three women discuss exes, mothers-in-law, and the chaos of family gatherings when they spend the holidays at a lonely karaoke bar that will remind long-time Iowa Citians of a well-known downtown watering hole.
Katie Hahn plays Addie in the show, and worked with Sean when he was the artistic director at Riverside Theatre. The play also features Rob Merritt, fresh from his celebrated performance in “Sunday in the Park with George,” Christy Hartsgrove Mooers, and Mia Fryvecind Gimenez. Directed by Nina Morrison.
